MALSHI is a mix a mix between a Shih-Tzu and a Maltese. Often times Malshi is bred to Shih Tzu, offspring will be 3/4 Shih Tzu.
Malshi are very loving and playful, very similar to Shihpoos. They get along well with everybody. They are easy to train. Their coat is long and it is not easily matted. Some Malshi take after Shih Tzu and their hair is similar to Shih Tzus, which is straight and coarse. Some pups have a softer coat. Soft coats usually get matted easier. Pups with either type of coat do not shed much but it is still necessary to groom them regularly. Malshis come in different colors, parti-colored, sable, fawn, white, cream. Often times Malshi change color coat when they grow up: usually sable or dark sable becomes golden or cream and sable, once they reach the age of maturity, which is about one-year. This is very similar to Shihpoos, and those features usually come from Shih Tzus. If you are interested in a loving Malshi puppy click here to see our available puppies!
